Robert Heinlein's Starship Troopers describes the powered suit, its anatomy, its functions and its roles sporadically and in passing. Its tactics are exotic, defined by unmatched mobility and a diverse arsenal. Rico's account is, I believe, colored by his discovered talents and indoctrinated worldview, and so requires interpretation. All of this poses a wonderful challenge to the visual imagination. Some of these works are intended to illustrate the troopers, some are not. They are roughly in order of size, bulk, or extension beyond the human frame.
